Test of Academic Potential (TAP) is a test to assess one's potency that considered to be the basic of one's success when he/she studies at master or doctoral level, or hold a position which requires intellectual ability equal to that of educational level. The higher the score is, the bigger the success potentiality. TAP consists of 3 (three) sub tests: Verbal, Quantitative and Logics. Each sub test consists of 4 (four) sections. Time for doing each sub test is 1 (one) hour. Therefore, it takes 3 (three) hour to answer all 250 problems, excluding the time to fill up the answer sheet with other information. There are 4 (four) kinds of score of TAP. They are: TAP is not the only consideration to predicts one's potential of success in studying at master or doctoral level. Undergraduate academic transcript, scientific project, recommendation and alike could be subjects of consideration to determine one's potential of success. Therefore, TAP result is not classified as pass or failed. TAP score will be valid for 2 (two) years after the test is taken. One who takes a make-up test is not likely to obtain a higher score. The test is administered by the Indonesian National Planning Agency (BAPPENAS) and can be waived by submitting acceptable TAP, GMAT, or GRE score
